Everything A Beginner Should Have In Their Makeup Bag

Makeup Bag

For beginners, makeup can be daunting. Honestly, after all these years, it’s still a little daunting to me. However, sometimes a lot of products can confuse you and put you off of learning makeup entirely. But the art of makeup is far too fun to give up on. Thus, I made a list of all the things you should definitely have in your makeup bag at all times. And maybe the only things you might need for most days.

Before you decide to buy beauty products online you need to make sure that your skin is being taken care of. I know a skincare routine is not only time-consuming but also expensive so if you can’t do anything else, make sure to always have moisturizer. Even if you think you don’t need it, trust me, you do. Besides that, you should also have a light sunblock on hand.

Foundation or Concealer

It’s all in the name I guess. Foundation is the basis for your makeup. So make sure you have a foundation that suits your skin color and your skin type. A concealer also works just as well in emergency situations, especially when you don’t wanna do a full face of makeup.

Mascara and Eyebrow Pencil

Brows have been the defining feature of different makeup eras for a while now. Thin brow shapes for the 2000s and natural thick ones for 2010s. In any case, mascara and an eyebrow pencil help in pulling your entire look together. Even people who don’t like a lot of makeup on their faces can use these two products every day.

Eyeshadow Palette

Just a simple nude palette can do for any beginner. You don’t need to do any fancy eye looks but this just helps brush up your features. Besides, when you use nude colors right, it can emphasize your eye color or eye structure.

Blush is any makeup lover’s best friend. It is just such a fun product. You can emphasize different parts of your face using blush and it can change up your face structure completely. Plus, I love the feeling of applying blush on my face for some reason. Besides you can get a lot of fun colors from sites such as Retail Stash, Sephora, etc.

Lipstick or Gloss

Obviously, any look would be incomplete without lip color. For starters, you can buy some nude-toned lipsticks for light daily looks and some brown, pink, and red-toned lipsticks. Other than that, lipsticks and glosses nowadays even have moisturizers in them so your lips stay in good shape.

Application Tools

It’s kind of a no-brainer that if you have makeup, you need application tools. You’ll need to have a makeup brush kit, sponges, and maybe some Q-tips. Some of these things might seem unnecessary to you and you can use your fingers to apply makeup in most cases. However, to make application easier in tricker places like eye creases, and for smooth application of foundation and compact powder, etc. you need these things as well.

Makeup Remover

We start with skincare and end with skincare. Maybe you don’t wanna take your makeup off if it looks too pretty or you are too tired after an exhausting day. But, it’s very important for your skin that you always remove your makeup once it’s served its purpose. So makeup removers are a must-have for everyone. Besides that, if you make any mistake while applying makeup you can easily remove them too!

If you have these items in your makeup bag you can whip up a decent daily makeup anywhere at any time. You don’t need to buy bronzer, primer, lash curlers, etc. all at once. Once you start with the basics and some skincare products you can keep learning and building on them. Most of all you should keep practicing to get even better at makeup. Makeup is supposed to be fun so make sure that whatever you do you do it for yourself and wear it proudly!
